The Saratoga Jacks Thermal Cooker is an alternative, cordless method of slow cooking, and can save you up to 80% on fuel costs. It is perfect for making meals both at home and on-the-go. Made of high quality, 304 - 18/10 surgical stainless steel, the cooker is an insulated thermal unit with a lid that seals shut and a fold up/down handle for easy portability. Included are 2 inner stainless steel cooking pots, which are inserted into the cooker, of two different sizes: one 5.5L pot with a heavy duty triple layered bottom, with the addition of a smaller pot, which has a single layer bottom.

The smaller pot can be nested inside of the larger one, providing a place for an optional small side dish. Use of the smaller pot is optional. The small pot can be removed to accommodate larger quantities of food in the larger pot, which can be used separate and independent of the smaller nesting pot. Both pots can also be used on an induction stove. Feeds approx. 3-5 people

    Very Impressed

Posted by Unknown on 20th Jan 2014

Still working on recipes to use in the cooker but everything I have tried so far has been great. The fact that it stays hot for 8 to 10 hours is great. Not only is it a well made product, it is very streamline looking.
My only wish would be that I could get the small inner pot w/Triple layered bottom as I use that one most often for the meal portion that requires the longest stove top cooking and the bottom for liquid.

    Totally Surprised!

Posted by Norece Embody on 11th Oct 2013

We received our thermal cooker a few days ago. My husband had a trip to the lake planned. We decided it was the perfect opportunity to try out this product. I got up at 5am and made lea Tame's Mexican Chicken Delight. 4 hours after we put the pots into the thermal cooker it was time for lunch. The food was so very hot, had to wait for it to cool down. He loved the food. Opened the thermal cooker after 13 hours and the food was still warm. Great cooker. The reason we chose this cooker over the others is that it continued to cook for up to 8 hours, the others mentioned something like 2 hours. Very pleased with our purchase.

    Very handy!

Posted by Marian on 26th Sep 2013

This is a very handy gadget to have around. I make bone broth regularly and I bought this to make the whole process easier. Every morning and evening I boil the broth and put it in the thermal cooker overnight or while I'm at work. I plan to make other slow cooked meals when I get around to it. I am just a single person, so the 5.5 liter is the perfect size, and because it comes with an inner pot, I can make an even smaller amount of food if I want to by filling the large pot with boiled water half way and and then cooking something in the smaller pot! This is what let me to choose this brand of thermal cooker over another.

    Love the Idea

Posted by Jan on 17th Apr 2013

I love the idea, so I look forward to using my Saratoga Jacks Thermal Cooker often. I want to develop recipes that work so I'll be able to use this for traveling, camping, and at home too. It doesn't come with a lot of recipes, and there are some foods we don't eat, so we will adapt the recipes we have.

On our first attempt we made a beef stew that turned out good, but too watery. I could have used about twice the amount of meat and vegetables that I did. When I perfect the recipe, I will submit it here.

    Hunter's Venison Stew

Posted by Rebecca Hsueby on 11th Jan 2013

OK, so I'm a female - BUT I HUNT! :a) ...and I LOVE the flexibility of my SJ Thermal Cooker! I made up my first "ready when I am" meal - a Venison Stew, with whole Jerusalem Artichokes and carrots, small potatoes, onions and garlic, Dill (of course), a little thickening and Deep Pit Seasoning. Not only was it ready when we were, but it was FANTASTIC! I LOVE THIS THING!

Handy and Versatile - so handy for traveling

Posted by Momturtle on 23rd Oct 2012

First saw one that a friend had. Was so impressed with the quality and usefulness I wanted one too! Just the ticket for planning a lunch while traveling (or dinner for that matter). Learning how to prepare and pack it was a snap and the recipe book is a good place to start. Much better than more expensive thermal cookers.

    Love this cooker

Posted by Elizabeth Haugh on 29th Apr 2012

I must write and tell you how much I appreciate the wonderful service I have been given by Saratoga Jack on my order.

I recieved a damaged cooker and called Jacks to report the damage. They instantly and I mean instantly sent me a new cooker, had the first one picked up by FedX and called me several times to let me know they were fixing the problem. They even sent me the DVD and Cookbook to make up for the problem.

I can't say enough postive things about Jack and Amy or the perfect service I have experienced with their company.

My replacement cooker arrived in perfect conditon and in no time at all yesterday.

    Thank you Saratogas Jack.
