The Saratoga Jacks Thermal Cooker is an alternative, cordless method of slow cooking, that saves up to 80% on fuel costs. It is perfect for making meals both at home and on-the-go. Made of high quality, 304 - 18/10 surgical stainless steel, the cooker is an insulated thermal unit with a lid that seals shut and a fold up/down handle for easy portability. Included are 2 inner stainless steel cooking pots, which are inserted into the cooker, of two different sizes: one large, 7L pot with a heavy duty triple layered bottom, with the addition of a smaller pot, which has a single layer bottom.

The smaller pot can be nested inside of the larger one, providing a place for an optional small side dish. Use of the smaller pot is optional. The small pot can be removed to accommodate larger quantities of food in the larger pot, which can be used separate and independent of the smaller nesting pot. Great for Tailgating!

Posted by Donna on 23rd Nov 2015

Purchased this cooker for tailgating. Have not used it prepare a dish yet, just to carry hot food to game. My food was not only piping hot prior to the game, it was still quite warm after the game. Nothing to plug in, self sealing so no spills, compact to store/carry, and easy clean-up! Can't wait to try one of your recipes! Recommending this to all my friends!

Best Irish stew I ever had

Posted by Shirley Ross on 11th Sep 2015

I purchased this on the third of September 2015. It arrived quickly there after and when I opened the box I was amazed at the solid thickness and weight of the pot. Today I tried it out for the first time. I made a rusty pot of Irish stew. I always eat crusty cornbread made with half and half to go with my stews but decided to also make some rice to try the upper inner pot out too. The stew and rice was umm delicious. Can't wait to buy one more 7 L and two 5 L Saratoga pots to complete my collection. I'm not rich but have a lot of friends and neighbors to share with. Thank you for such a wonderful new idea of cooking.

    It cooked dry beans

Posted by Tammy Gosney on 30th Apr 2015

I soaked my beans overnight, brought them to a boil for 4 minutes the next day, and 8 hours later they were cooked! I had no doubt it could cook chicken or even a roast, but I was thrilled it did my beans. I am totally thrilled. I made the Mexican chicken recipe the next day with the rice on top and it turned out perfect. I also really like that I pull it together a noon and then dinner can be anytime because it is nice and hot when we open it. So if I am working extra that day, no need to time dinner to be ready at a specific time. Love it!

    Works like a charm

Posted by Patti McConnell - Salt Lake on 17th Dec 2014

I have made lentil soup and a roast using this and it works exactly as they say it does. I put the Lentil soup on at 6:30 am and did not get home for 11 hours. It was still 145° which is not super hot - but it was way more than the standard 8 hours and it was delicious - I was not worried as it had no meat in it!

The roast I took out at 7 hours 20 minutes and it was fantastic - I put the potatoes in the top part and the roast in the bottom and they were both excellent! Very good product.

    Great Product

Posted by Unknown on 26th Dec 2013

Bought this for a Christmas present. Tried it over night cooking some steel cut oats for breakfast cereal. Hot breakfast waiting in the morning.
Will take it with us to Yuma for a few weeks of dry camping. We will have crock pot meals waiting for us without electricity.
    Thanks for a great product.

    As advertised!

Posted by Unknown on 18th Dec 2013

So far, I love it. I have only made spaghetti sauce, as I am still waiting for my Ultra Gel to arrive.

Changes to the sauce were simple: I left out the water I usually add to replace evaporation and used 1 cup of dried tomatoes that weren't hydrated first. Took the same amount of time (2 hrs), no need to reheat for dinner after 7 hours, no stove spatter and nothing stuck on the bottom of the pan. It was perfect and indistinguishable from the stove top method I have used for 40 years.

    Hard to believe

Posted by Unknown on 22nd Sep 2013

I cooked a pot roast following closely the directions on the video. A couple of times during the day I was tempted to open the lid just to check on its progress but I resisted. Pot roast, potatoes, onions and carrots were delicious. Hard to believe this was the result of about 15 minutes of electricity.

    Very Pleased

Posted by Mike on 17th Apr 2013

I'm very pleased with my purchase of my Saratoga Jack's 7L Thermal Cooker. It arrived very quickly and was packaged well. I love food cooked in a crock pot, but I know of several fires that have started due to them being unattended. This solves the problem. This item is the most unique idea I've seen. I've carried a vacuum thermos bottle with hot coffee for years. Now I have somthing to tansport hot meals, also while they cook. I've shown this to several of my wife's friends. Several have ordered one also.
